Carer Friendly Pharmacy – Family Carer Champions currently exist or are being recruited in stores, and within teams. These Champions have a role helping all the staff in their area to remain focused on family carers, raise awareness of family carers, and promote their needs and family centred care, be a point of contact for the staff and family carer, and signpost to carer support services, keep themselves and others updated and assist in identifying and share information, and promote the giving out of information. They can also raise awareness of Suffolk Family Carers website for carer support.
Suffolk Family Carers have produced two posters to display in your pharmacy to promote awareness about carers:

Suffolk Mind is a registered Charity committed to improving the mental health and wellbeing of people across the region. Suffolk LPC is working with our organisation to support communities across Suffolk to achieve good mental health and to access support services when needed.
We all have mental health as well as physical health and sometimes we have ill health. We all move along a mental health ‘continuum’ and can be at different stages dependant on factors that affect our lives. All of us are vulnerable to mental ill health. We offer services that can support people and help them to build emotional resilience, whatever stage of the mental health continuum they are on.
All of our services are easy to access and with the exception of supported housing, you can self refer by contacting them direct. They offer a wide range of courses, training and 1-2-1 therapeutic services that help to improve or maintain your mental wellbeing, they can also help you to support others.
